3 Ways to capture videos like a pro

Unlike images videos are generally considered lot more interesting because of the capture of emotions, reactions and scenes better. however, to be able to do it right you need to know how to start off. So here are some tips you could use when doing so.

Get the equipment

The equipment is probably like the most important thing about videography even for any of the best videographer in singapore. You need to have the right cameras for the right purpose to be able to capture the moments in the way. Here unlike with capturing photos, there is a much more need for a stand especially if it is for long shoots. Of course, it also depends on the content you are capturing. For an example if you are shooting a vlog then you wouldn’t necessarily need a stand however if it is a tutorial or a movie or documentary where detailed talking is involved then you might need a stand. So before you gather your equipment you need to first sort out what you are trying to capture.

Plan out

The next step of capturing videos is to know the story or the plan behind the purpose of the project. For an example, if it is music video that you are shooting then you need to come up with a story line that goes with the song, the lyrics and may be even the beat. However on the other hand if it is a simple documentary then you might need to always be on the go with you camera because you can’t predict the natural moments that come unexpectedly. So unless it is the case of a documentary, it is recommended that you create a preplanned story to follow throughout.

Lighting is probably one of the most important details that you cannot miss. A video without sufficient lighting, no matter how interesting would only seem like a walk in the dark. Therefore you need to plan out how you are going to light up the set or find the best ways of using natural light to create the perfect frames. You also need to keep in mind that you select the right times for the shoot. Shooting at the early hours of noon is only going to darken up the frames with shadows and too late in the night is not going to have you capturing anything. So finding sources of artificial lighting to balance these out is also a detail you need to be wary of.

It also helps to have a simple background where there isn’t a lot going on to make sure the focus of the video is given to exactly what you want.

So consider the above tips and work on capturing videos like a pro!
